hey everyone! i hope you all are still checking back to my blog even though i'm so busy with Finals and such that i dont have the time to update my blog like i usually do XD
in any case, i hope i can make it up to you guys with today's post~~~~ XDDDDDD
hmm...what should i blog about today? or say, what SHOULDNT i blog about today...decisions decisions..it always comes down to decisions :D i feel a bit rusty already since i havent actually updated a blog post for ages XD
anyway here goes nothin~
okay. lets start off with posting something that i am supposed to post on in the first place~ i bet you all still remember my "famous" sections on anime reviews??? i guess its safe to say that you all still do remember that, so i dont want to dissapoint you all, today im gonna post on a new anime title (yay!..hey hey, clap hands la! show some support eh? XD~~~)
so...whats the anime im gonna write a short review on you say?...
......さよなら 絶望先生!!!!!!!!....
...dor all of u who need subtitle for that (thank god we have subtitles XD cant live without em'~)...its Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei~
ano ne...i suppose not many of you know about this anime? im not really sure of the popularity of this anime though, since i at first didnt know of it until a friend of mine ( Lance-sama!!!!!) kept telling me to watch it -.-"...i wasnt especially drawn to the request at first, coz it sounded like some shojo theme anime or something lame and obscene in some way(?)...but ne...
...everything changed when i bought a copy of it at Sarawak Plaza's local dvd store...
...its.............................DAMN GOOD......(background explosion and stage lights on!)
...what is it that makes me say so? and i know you all might be asking that question because i dont usually rank an anime as damn good...WELL...haha just thinking of starting a review on the anime is already making me amused as it is XD
The anime さよなら 絶望先生 (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei) was actually adapted from the manga created by Koji Kumeta-sensei who published it in the popular magazine, Weekly Shonen. Although the manga is more popular in areas closer to Japan, it somehow seems like the infectious characteristics of the characters that Koji Kumeta-sensei created in the manga have yet to influence people around our side of the globe...meaning to say that the anime has still some way to go before you would hear people asking you "hey hey, did you watch that show called Sayonara Sensei something something...bla bla?"...
...isnt it just fun when we know about new anime before anyone else?...XD *evil laugh*
In any case, さよなら 絶望先生 is an extremely well plotted anime. I say that honestly, because its true (duh~)...but seriously though, i've never encountered an anime as fresh and "daring" as Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Just by watching the anime alone, you'd find that the "shooting" technique is way different from any other anime out in the market right now. For example, the theathrics are much more evident, that is to say, EXPECT LOTS OF RANDOMNESS. the shooting of the anime isnt like any other, because unlike mainstream anime that focus on angle-to-angle shooting, さよなら 絶望先生's animators took a different approach...
...WILDSTYLE...
what does that mean? well it's just a term i coined to "describe concisively" about the animation techniques of the anime. That is to say, they use lots and lots and lots and LOTS (dammit lots and lots) of "wild" character emotions and GRAPHIC STYLE approach. its really hard to describe what the anime style really is, since it is so WILD that you need to watch it to understand for yourself.
However, no matter how bizzare and *ahem* sometimes obscene the style of さよなら 絶望先生 animation is, i promise that you will be nothing but AMUSED from the beginning to the very end.
Now, the whole story of さよなら 絶望先生 revolves around 糸色 望 Itoshiki Nozomu ...
who, pretty much safe to say, is absolutely pessimistic high school teacher who already tries to hang himself on a sakura tree in the first MINUTE of the episode~!
Amusingly enough, as pessimistic and stupid Nozomu is about life and things that happen around him, and despite his constant efforts to try and kill himself, he is saved by an optimistic girl by the name of 風浦 可符香 Fūra Kafuka ~ well, not to say actually "save"...because in a way, all Kafuka-chan's efforts to try and save Nozomu somehow turn into a scene where she tries to kill him instead (...backfire, BACKFIRE!)...
...and even more amusing is this : She decides to nickname Nozomu "Pink Supervisor" (桃色係長 Momoiro Kakarichō), and offers to PAY him 50 YEN to call him by that nickname everyday, even in class! XDDDDDDD
and thats just Nozomu's weird relationship with Kafuka-chan...there are lots more students in his class to which you all will come to love if you take my advice and GO BUY THIS ANIME! its worth every damn penny i can assure you that XD
....as for the rest of the information, i choose to let you find out for yourself XD why??? cause its just too good to spoil the fun. Trust me. You'll thank me later XD
...and if youre wondering why i didnt post up any photos of this anime either...its the same reason! I DO NOT WANT TO SPOIL IT FOR YOU! GO WATCH THE ANIME AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN~
...LOL...
*Sigh*...its the final few weeks for this Semester here in LimKokWing...and that means i only have a few more weeks to say before i migrate over to the Kuala Lumpur campus to further my studies in degree level...T.T im gonna miss everyone here (well, almost everyone XD)...
Canvas...Photography...Sculpture...Bla Bla...a whole stretch of final projects!!! GAAAAH!!!!
can i kill something to release stress? i dunno, maybe a nice bunny rabbit with pink fluffy ears and a cute button fluff ball for a tail that i can light on fire? XDDDD...joking!!!!!!!!! if i really did that then i'd be sent to jail for "brutally and obscenely murdering an innocent animal".
...oooo look... a spider just crawl past my table...
...and well, its been rough, honestly speaking. i can finally understand why people now say that design and this field is so hard and stressful to survive in. As fun as it may seem, i cant deny the fact that all the work is stressing >.<"
oooooh ya! almost forgot, i did a crappy video for my comms studies presentation...i shouldnt show it...coz its really last minute...but hey, what the heck XD...i dun want any rude comments, i know it sucks! i just did it as an opening to my oral presentation...wakakaka last minute work RULES@@@@!!!!
and to end today's post...here is my crappy video for comms studies presentation! enjoy~
oh and before you watch the video...turn off the music i put on the blog...LOL..its at the top right of this page XD
